Our carpets are dyed using several different processes. All of these are, however, water-based, i.e. no organic solvents are used. Waste Water produced during the dyeing process is treated in our own multistage pre-treatment sewage plant so that contaminant levels are well within the upper limit permitted under the Hameln municipal authorities' waste water regulations. Our waste water is cooled, suspended matter is sifted out, and the water is neutralized and finally discharged into the sewerage system.

We are at present the only carpet manufacturer in the world which dyes carpets using the cold dye process. For each square metre of carpet dyed, cold dyeing requires only 25 % of the water and as little as 6 % of the steam used in the traditional vat dyeing and continous dyeing processes. This represents a drastic reduction in water consumption in recent years.
