Vorwerk Teppichwerke adopts the international DIN ISO 14001 System
Optimised corporate workflows via multi-nationally acknowledged quality management ensure high quality standards at Vorwerk, promote customer satisfaction and create internationally competitive advantages
Hamlin, in September 2007 - Vorwerk Teppichwerke is taking a new step in the matter of environmental management on the path towards a further internationalisation of its business activities. Certified until now in compliance with the EU environmental directive EMAS II (Environmental Management Audit System), since August 2007 the company has integrated DIN ISO 14001, an environmental management system acknowledged worldwide, into its organisation.
The system's high level of acceptance allows the company's commitment regarding environmental achievements, policy and the continuous optimisation of process workflows to be communicated to customers all over the world while exhibiting that know-how more strongly as a core competence.
With the conversion to the DIN ISO 14001 System, Vorwerk Teppichwerke has taken yet another step towards realising its economic targets and simultaneously taken on ecological responsibility for the environment in the spirit of sustainability. As only few companies have successfully enacted this standard introduced in 2005, Vorwerk continues to remain among the
rare front runners in the industry when it comes to environmental protection.
For Johannes Schulte, chairman of executive management at Vorwerk Teppichwerke, one thing is sure: "Only those who are also able to fulfil an international quality standard via optimal products and services are going to be the ones able to assert themselves on the market in the long run." A goal that Vorwerk is pursuing consistently with the new DIN ISO 14001 System, and one that the carpet manufacturer is going to invest in in the future as well.
