New VORWERK “Gloss” Collection sets accents with noble gloss effects for exclusive office design
Successful Vorwerk woven classics are now taking on a new look, offering architects creative ideas for individualised spatial concepts.
Hamlin, May 2004 - Vorwerk, the carpet manufacturer from Hamlin, Germany, is bringing new combinations of materials and attractive ideas for creative flooring design to the demanding business in the contract sector with surprising new interpretations of the woven classics "NANDOU" and "IDEA", as well as with "SETHO", a new product. Vorwerk "GLOSS" is the name of the new series focusing on the carpets "NANDOU design gloss", "IDEA design gloss" and "SETHO gloss". The highlight: This collection captivates through one-of-a-kind effects created by a newly developed gloss thread.
What the designers at Vorwerk's development department wanted was to give an added boost to the product attractiveness of "NANDOU" and "IDEA", carpet weaves which have been well-established products on the market for quite a while. Achieving a particularly natural gloss effect thereby posed a very special challenge. The result: With "NANDOU design gloss", "IDEA design gloss" and the newly created "SETHO", three carpet products have been created offering highlights not only in terms of their respective look, but also in the way they fulfil the high requirements inherent to the demanding contract business. In other words, the perfect symbiosis of a new, attractive look and the tried-and-true properties of successful Vorwerk contract carpets. Yet another advantage for flexible and creative use: The special gloss fibre can be produced in nearly all colours in a captivatingly clear gloss look, whereby even such colours as silver, gold or copper can be attained in a surprising brilliance.
Alternating effects, shifting surfaces, nuanced colours and a likeable "feel". These are the design features of the new "GLOSS" series. In combination with a matte basic material, the brilliant gloss and structured surfaces free the way for noble flooring design full of sparkle and dynamics. The intention is that these high-quality woven loops find future use at exclusive locations: Besides banks, insurance firms and office complexes, they are also suited to upmarket sales and presentation areas. In terms of public institutions from the worlds of art, culture and commerce, here too they are optimally suited for setting noble accents and staging the scene perfectly for a sophisticated atmosphere.
And each of the woven carpets has a style all its own:
"SETHO gloss": The eye-catching feature of this new product is a glowing thread that has been worked in regularly against a black base. Glossy markings and distinctively coloured threads lend a wealth of expressive effects and a third dimension to this loop carpet in a matte look.
"NANDOU design gloss". The basis for this fascinating carpet is formed by the well-known "NANDOU" loop weave, a solid, tightly woven bouclé structure that stands up to the most extreme demands. In its new look, the carpet now has a puristic appearance displaying unadorned elegance and the very special gloss effect that distinguishes all Vorwerk "GLOSS" products.
"IDEA design gloss", an elegant loop weave for highly expressive design options. The perfect opportunity to realise a wide variety of designs in the contract sector against a discreetly mottled background. Here too highlights are being set by the inlaid gloss threads which can be produced in any colour. With this product, discreet dots, geometric figures and curved forms speak a design language that gleams.
As with all Vorwerk carpets for commercial use, outstanding characteristics typical of the contract sector also apply for the new Vorwerk "GLOSS" products, including high resilience and durability. And it goes without saying that they bear the TÜV (German Technical Certification Association) seal "suitable for those suffering from allergies".
With these new woven variations, Vorwerk Teppichwerke is once again underscoring its highly rated weaving competence, and at the same time offering a representative and creative product that unites functionality, innovation and design perfectly in the contract at hand.
Particularly for builders and architects, Vorwerk also offers the opportunity to make use of the new "GLOSS" products to evolve individualised spatial concepts and make creative ideas a reality, even down to the last detail. This is made possible through Vorwerk's flexible production-order capability, a flexibility that enables the production of special designs starting at low minimum quantities. In the case of "SETHO gloss" and "NANDOU design gloss", that quantity lies at a mere 100 square metres. In the case of "IDEA design gloss", individualised design can be delivered starting at 250 square metres.
