A Hotel "Live-in Feeling" with Aesthetics and Style
First "Vorwerk Hotel Collection " available as of January
It all boils down to the right yarn, always luxurious and inviting, despite the "stress" it has to bear. Men's shoes, women's boots, children's knees or dogs' paws. Luggage rollers and falling glasses, with "fast moves and slow steps" at every turn. A hotel carpet has to suffer through all this and a lot more each and every day. In large hotels, that's easily up to 250,000 people that a carpet will have to carry across roughly five years. Yet a carpet's life is hard in guest houses and restaurants, too. Those without a good pile and a strong backing are destined to visibly age quickly and wear out.
Guaranteed to always be in top form and timelessly noble in design is the first hotel collection from Vorwerk. The collection is going to be on the market as of January 2004. It offers extraordinary comfort, creative variety and a very special "live-in feeling" character that allows a hotel's ambience to become a "living room". Different from the coolness of hard floor coverings, all it takes are a few steps on luxurious Vorwerk hotel carpets for a tranquil, pleasant atmosphere to set in, one that provides a feeling of well-being and inner peace and quiet.
The new collection is particularly attractive for decision-makers, above all due to its availability. This means that immediate delivery is ensured, especially for small and medium-sized orders. Those facilities thus have a special advantage who wish to decide about renovating their premises, on a short-term basis, as well as all those who are only able to renovate certain areas piece by piece. The hotel collection is therefore ideally suited to small and mid-sized hotel rooms. Although, with short lead times, larger quantities from Vorwerk are no problem, either.
The new "Vorwerk Hotel Collection" carpets "DARIA" and "DARIA design" were created especially for use in the hotel and restaurant trade. They are being presented in nine designs, each of which contains four highly expressive colour schemes. The diverse selection of designs offered ranges from soothing smallest-scale patterns to classic hotel designs, all the way to fascinating floral ornamentation. "DARIA" and "DARIA design" are high pile-weight, luxury Saxony carpets that captivate through outstanding comfort characteristics and a very elegant aura. Plain-hued "DARIA" can also be combined extremely well with the patterned design, colour-co-ordinated variations of "DARIA design" in the form of borders and friezes. The colour world of the new collection ranges from a solid red to shades of blue and green, straight through to warm terra cotta tones. The grained, pearly pile of this pearl velours ensures the noble overall impression so typical of hotels.
As with all Vorwerk products, the only fibres being used in this collection are high-quality, brand-name fibers that guarantee a high level of comfort, very high wear-and-tear factors and additional qualities such as "B1 fire rating", "chair caster", "stairway life" and "underfloor heating" suitability. All-important for those who promise their patrons a healthy living environment is the TÜV (German Technical Certification Association) seal "suitable for those suffering from allergies".
Johannes Schulte, chairman of the executive management of Vorwerk Teppichwerke since January 2004, adds that "our first exclusive hotel collection must fulfil many demands. It must absorb sound, pose no danger whatsoever to health and look good for a long time. But above all the design has to hit the right note, offer flexibility and communicate a feeling of being cared for to the guest. We have managed to do this perfectly with 'DARIA' and 'DARIA design'." With a view to his retail partners, here too Johannes Schulte sees the new collection as being on the right path: "Our immediate delivery service for orders of small and medium-sized quantities gives us an absolute market advantage, and enables us to provide our contract partners with an important argument in favour of the benefits of our product".
Flexibility and individuality are always an emphasis at Vorwerk. Keeping in line with that, even with the "Vorwerk Hotel Collection " individualised custom-order runs are possible starting with a quantity as low as 400 square metres. Colour or design schemes can be selected according to individual taste, or ordered according to one's own designs. A service that allows architects and hotel furnishers leeway for their own ideas.
A first look at the new collection, which is going to be available in January 2004, can be had at the "Heimtextil" trade fair in Frankfurt starting January 14th, 2004. The collection shall be presented afterwards at the "Domotex" trade fair in Hanover.
