“Office Vision” from VORWERK

The international trade fair ORGATEC 2004 is taking place from the 19th to the 23rd of October under the motto "LIVING AT WORK". For Vorwerk Teppichwerke from Hamelin, Germany, who are exhibiting in Hall 14.1 Corridor E 001, this will be the sixth participation in the course of this trade fair since 1992. Visionary office solutions represent the focus of this brand-name carpet manufacturer, famous for their traditionally fascinating presentation. Finely tuned high-tech carpets and experimental design creations lay the cornerstone for a new way of thought and design in commercial sector.
Those who have observed Vorwerk's commitment in recent years know that this carpet manufacturer is not one for providing bland presentations of classic, conventional collections. The emphasis has been placed instead on offering constructive and creative solutions for demanding contract design. The unequalled highlight in 2004 is going to be the prototype of a high-tech carpet including integrated computer technology. This innovative carpet is sensitive to temperature and pressure thanks to state-of-the-art microelectronics and networking technology and is the result of a two-year research co-operation effort between Vorwerk and Infineon Technologies AG. This avant-garde product could soon serve as an intelligent signal generator for the widest variety of control functions at the contract location.
Above and beyond this, with "Office Vision" Vorwerk is presenting material and design creations for tomorrow's textile flooring design with an eye towards the future. The total of seven contract themes range from high-quality woven loop constructions with surprising glossy effects to elegant, linear-constructed flat weaves and on to luxurious, structured carpets that set velours and loop together in a new, harmonious context.
The aspect of health constantly plays a central role for Vorwerk in developing new products and this is being demonstrated by the company at ORGATEC 2004 using the results of a current project still under development. Vorwerk carpets with a new, specially constructed backing may soon offer good protection against electromagnetic waves; for example against those radiated by electronic installations under raised floors.
The setting for this extraordinary product show will be within an amazingly designed stand in Hall 14.1. Vorwerk Teppichwerke was fortunate to be able to appoint the internationally renowned "design magician" Ulf Moritz to take charge of the stand design. His staging featuring lights reflecting different moods is going to be a presentation area and communicative forum arena in one.
In 2004, Vorwerk is adapting fully to the new, theme-related approach propagated by ORGATEC by using a presentation concept targeted completely towards exchange and dialogue. In alignment with that approach, the emphasis is being placed on addressing more intensively new target groups from the planning, interior design and office and management sectors.
