Vorwerk Kairo
New interpretation of this woven classic, successful for over 30 years, ensures brilliance and glamour on the floor
Hamlin, October 2002 - Vorwerk Teppichwerke is presenting a new interpretation of their woven classic "Kairo" exclusively in time for Orgatec. Raise the curtain for a presentation worth the silver screen with changing effects, emotional surfaces, colours tinted with nuances and an attractive feel. The stars are new types of yarns in brilliant colours and structured surfaces which, combined with a matte-toned base material, inaugurate the way to a noble flooring design full of brilliance and dynamics. The names of the players are "Kairo design", "Kairo effect", "Kairo gloss" and "Setho gloss", and it's intended that they make their appearance at exclusive shooting locations: alongside banks, insurers and office complexes, they are particularly suitable for hotels and restaurants, in addition to up-market sales and presentation areas. Needless to say, when it comes to setting noble accents and the perfect stage for their role, they also offer the best of suitability for public institutions from the worlds of art, culture and commerce.
While sharing the limelight, each of the four woven carpets discovers a style all its own:
"Kairo design": A woven smooth velours with refined depth effects and sophisticated colour schemes in classic checked motifs. In addition, lively, playful markings impart the orderly patterns with a picturesque look.
"Kairo effect": The highly effective, trendy designs of this new woven carpet have been inspired by the form language of the '60s and '70s. Circles, checks, squares, dots and dodges present themselves in noble yet discreet structures in a stylishly composed, radiant blend of yarns on a matt base. "Kairo effect" is being displayed in five intimately related, muted worlds of colour in black, brown, blue-grey, green and red.
"Kairo gloss": What catches the eye here are the intentionally set yarns that effectively underscore the designs, reflecting back light and setting the scene for changing effects. These new variations with a metallic, shiny look were inspired by current building materials used in today's architecure.
"Setho gloss": The distinctive factor of this new carpeting is a bright red thread which has been set and worked in at regular intervals on a black background. This loop in a matt look receives its highly effective expression and a third dimension through gleaming markings and strikingly coloured threads.
With the new variations on "Kairo", Vorwerk Teppichwerke is once again emphasising their highly ranked competence in weaving, offering a representative and creative product that unites functionality, innovation and design perfectly with one another at the contract site. There are a total of 13 new designs to choose from, all of which are being presented via architect's folders.
