With a colourful variety of buildings constructed at the turn of the millenium we would like to demonstrate the posibilities of creative floor design with Vorwerk carpets.
The topic are expressive designs from the Dialog Art Collection, as well as designs from the current Object Collection in a selection of completed properties.
Amongst the highlights are international properties in the Gulf states, Japan and England and also in Germany, like, for example, the "Frankfurter Welle" which is still being laid with carpet at the moment and will have 70,000 m² carpeted area when completed.
We are particularly proud of the laying of the 4-row "KAIRO" woven fabric in the "Spiegel" publishing house in Hamburg. The rooms, which are in authentic 1960s style, were designed completely by the Danish designer Verner Panton, who died in 1998. The canteen has now become a listed building. It should also be mentioned that this is the third time that this carpet design has been laid since 1968.
We have also introduced properties in this context which intentionally support the stark internal architecture and reduce things to the essential with their minimalist design and uniform colouring. In these cases it is common practise to work in inlays to characterise a section of floor and also to distinguish and divide up the different areas of work.
