Vorwerk "Inspiration": Design at its purest
In the new "Inspiration" collection, Vorwerk uses unique designs to set stylish and individual accents for sophisticated furnishing at home and for contract flooring
Hamlin, January 2007 - The name Vorwerk stands for more than just high-quality textile floor coverings. It stands above all for the concept of transforming carpets into creative furnishing elements. Ingenuity like that is backed up by a standard reflecting the highest competence in design, by the goal to constantly give new impulses for one's own furnishing ideas, and by providing a basis that lends rooms fascination, individuality and a new lifestyle. The concept behind all this is called: Inspiration.
The newest creation from the carpet works in Hamlin, Germany is generated by a desire for individual flooring design of a special kind. So it's no suprise that this creation bears the name "Vorwerk Inspiration". With this collection devoted entirely to the theme of "room-enhancing design", Vorwerk is going to be delighting its clientele starting in January 2007.
Vorwerk is presenting 21 designs in over 70 colour choices in this collection, thus creating a design world both unique and unusually fascinating. Whether modern or timeless, extravagant or classic, or just classically extravagant, with its extraordinary design solutions, this collection fulfils even the greatest demands posed by architecture, for ambience and functionality. On the creative side, the Vorwerk DesignTeam was accompanied during development by renowned textile designer Ulf Moritz. With his sensitivity for trends he is once again proving his virtuosity as a master of the "carpeting" terrain. In this collection Ulf Moritz applies one-of-a-kind style assurance to compose patterns and colours into aesthetic highlights.
Each design in "Inspiration" has a name of its own, a name as individual as the motif it describes. For example, "giardino", "lotus" and "aurora" sketch large-format floral elements on the floor. In contrast, design drafts such as "fugata" and "roma" stand for fanciful elegance styled discreetly. They lend the representative living area of a townhouse just as much format as they would in a suite at a luxury hotel.
The new collection offers a cornucopia of inspiration, especially to those with a yen for highly expressive designs. With their interchanging colours and large, curved elements, "decora" and "fenice" display the purest of retrovision in an elegant and modernly interpreted form. Equally well-suited for the private study at home or a senior executive's office, the design "duo" stands for straightforward elegance in a pinstripe look. Although, when it comes to elegance, a provocatively haute couture look is also part of the agenda: cheetah-like, as an unusual houndstooth check or as circular, room-enhancing intertwined outlines. These extravagant designs stand for individual taste and an extrovert furnishing style.
"After our strongly design-accented and very successful collections 'Dialog' and 'Premium' in the early 1990s, we have now devoted our efforts once again to a purely design-oriented collection in the wall-to-wall carpet segment," says Johannes Schulte, chairman of executive management at Vorwerk Teppichwerke. "Individuality is gaining more and more importance in private as well as commercial furnishing design. In light of such ongoing development, it all comes down to making design something that can be experienced, and to have rooms that become an experience. We are underscoring this trend using the key style-imparting element in a room, the carpet."
Plenty of quality for even more design leeway
The basis of the new collection is formed by FORMA, NANDOU, BISAM and VARIA, four high-grade woven and tufted carpets. All design variations are being proposed with appropriately suited plain variants of the same quality. A total of 133 plain shades bring colour to the fore. When combined with patterned floorspace exhibiting colour-co-ordinated reliefs or inlaid sections, they offer unlimited possibilities for completely individual room design.
High-grade, brand-name yarns made of Antron® fibres assure the best of comfort on the floor while providing maximum durability and an especially long product life at the same time. All of the carpets can therefore be utilised in both the private and contract flooring sectors.
The Vorwerk "Inspiration" collection offers an added design plus. But that's not all: Added quality is being offered as well. Alongside outstanding characteristics typical for contract installation, all carpets are manufactured taking the most modern ecological and health-oriented aspects into consideration. The carpets bear the TÜV (German Technical Certification Association) seal "suitable for those suffering from allergies", and are the first carpets on the market to be recommended by DAAB, the German Allergy and Asthma Association, due to their excellent ability to bind fine dust particles. There is hardly a better way to combine design-oriented decorating with an added plus for a healther room climate.
The availability of all designs and items at short notice is yet another plus from this collection. The entire "Inspiration" is being kept in stock by Vorwerk and is rapidly available when needed.
